RODUCTION PROCESS
Core Functions and Working Principles
Cutting:
A specialized cutting device is mounted on the front or bottom of
the boat. This typically consists of one or
more high-speed rotating blades (similar to a lawn mower) or a row
of sharp reciprocating blades (similar
to a hair clipper).
The cutting device penetrates to an adjustable depth below the
water surface, severing dense weeds, reeds,
and other plants at their roots or stems.
Collecting/Salvaging:
The cut weeds must be promptly removed to prevent them from sinking
to the bottom and rotting or drifting
away.
A collection device is typically located behind the cutting device:
Conveyor Belt/Rake Chain: The most common method. A rotating rake
chain or conveyor belt scoops up
the cut weeds from the surface or below the water and transports
them to the rear of the boat.
Collection Chamber/Net Bag: A conveyor belt delivers the weeds
directly to a large collection chamber/net
bag located mid- or aft of the boat. Once the collection chamber is
full, the boat docks to unload the weeds.
Crushing (optional): Some advanced mowing boats also have
integrated crushing devices during the collection
process to chop the aquatic plants into small pieces for easy
subsequent transportation, fermentation as
fertilizer, or direct return to the fields/lakes (to promote
decomposition).
